What Error 560 Means

Error 560 is a power limitation error — the drive unit has reduced or capped its output power. Unlike error 540 which results in a complete shutdown, error 560 typically allows partial motor operation at reduced power while flagging the condition for diagnosis. Common triggers include critically low battery charge, elevated motor temperatures, and inter-component communication quality issues.

Fix Procedure

Check Battery Charge Level

A battery below approximately 10 percent state of charge causes the drive unit to progressively limit power to protect the cells from deep discharge. Charge the battery and retest.

Check for Concurrent Errors

Error 560 often appears alongside another error code. Check your display history — the secondary error usually identifies the root cause more precisely.

Firmware Update

Error 560 has been associated with firmware-level power management bugs. Ensure both motor and battery are running current firmware.

Dealer Diagnosis

If error 560 appears at full battery charge with no concurrent errors, the power electronics current monitoring pathway has a fault requiring the DiagnosticsTool 3.
